ANTM - the twins.

Yes, that stands for America's Next Top Model. My not so secret favourite trashy show that I enjoy a bit too much (and this enjoyment, I must say, causes Brad much confusion - "I thought you were a feminist"...indeed).

In any case, I wasn't able to watch it last week as I am trying to dig myself out of serious academic peril but I found out at the CASA staff party from Toby that one of the twins got kicked off! Ending our speculation that perhaps the surprise ending would be them both winning. While I'm sure Toby took this news hard (having never quite recuperated from Alanna's loss on CNTM) I would have appreciated knowing that both the twins were on the chopping block - jeesh! (Toby loves the twins I haven't quite figured out if it's because they are twins, because he thinks they're pretty, because they're kinda tom-boy-ish and awkward, or some combination of these things - though I think the most compelling is that they are twins) Further, why didn't I hear about this until FRIDAY night?!?!?! The conversation when I found out went like something this:

Renee: They separated the twins, eh?
Me: What? Are you okay Toby?
Toby: Yeah, I guess so.
Me: Was there a lot of twin crying?
Toby: Not as much as you'd expect.
Me: Which one did they eliminate the one who wanted it but wasn't that good or the one who was better but didn't really want it?
Toby: The one who wanted, no the one who didn't, umm.... the one who wanted it
Me: Aw, that's too bad, she ugh, wanted it....

For the record, that's Michelle (below, who I think looks like Fiona Apple there) and for good measure I put the other twin (Amanda).
